The testes (sing: testis) of the male are enclosed by a protective sac called the scrotum. A single epididymis (pl: epididymides) sits on top each testes. The spermatic_cord (which includes the vas_deferens) extends from the testes and scrotum through the inguinal_canal and into the abdominal cavity.
