Graduates may transfer to a university to seek a bachelor’s degree. Graduates of a law enforcement academy may receive college credit hours toward this degree. Law Enforcement Training Academy - The Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission was established by the Florida Legislature to oversee employment and training for law enforcement and correctional officers. The mission of the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission is to ensure that the citizens of Florida are served by the most qualified, well-trained, ethical and professional officers in the nation.  Program Website 

Corrections Academy - The HCC Corrections Academy prepares Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Cadets with the necessary training required to pass the Florida Department of Law Enforcement State Certification Examination.
