Minimum Technology Recommendations for Online Courses
When taking an online course your computer and internet access are the gateway to your “online classroom.” It is essential that you have reliable access and that your computer technology is set up correctly. Take the time before your course begins to prepare. In the long run, this will save you time, prevent frustrations, and help you to avoid a poor grade for a late assignment.
Browser Requirements and System Check
Make sure your computer and the internet are set up correctly. In order to access the content in your online course, your computer must have the correct web browser, Operating System and other related components installed (e.g., microphone, webcam, or headset, etc.). Canvas supports the current and first previous major releases of Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
All HCC students have access to the college’s network and electronic resources.
