HCC is on the forefront of preparing men and women to be leaders in the construction industry. We offer construction apprenticeship training on our Dale Mabry Campus through the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC)—a national management association for the construction industry.
Our program includes on-the-job training in the fields of carpentry, electrical, fire sprinkler fitter, heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, pipefitting, roofing, and sheet metal for certification as a journeyman. Through classroom and hands-on experience, students acquire new skills rapidly and learn to apply them effectively.

To be eligible for an ABC apprenticeship training program, you must be employed full-time with a State of Florida licensed contractor in the trade.
