John Bacheller — John Bacheller teaches a mixture of traditional and distance learning Biology and Microbiology courses at HCC. Mike Brun0 — Michael’s career in the investment industry began in 2000. He holds a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and focuses on a consultative approach with clients. He feels it is extremely important to understand the goals and needs of clients so he can provide a personalized solution to fit their unique situation. Michael relocated to the Tampa Bay area from New York in 1983. He graduated with a degree from the University of South Florida.

Dwight Gilmer — D.W. Gilmer, known as “Mr. RELOADED” has spent more than 15 years empowering people to reach new levels of achievement. Frank Kozlowski — Frank Kozlowski, a Michigan native, began working in the social service/mental health field since 1994. He has held a variety of positions working with diverse populations which include the developmentally disabled, juvenile offenders, inpatient mental health and everything in between. After completing his internship at a local community college to complete his M.A. degree in 2000,Frank realized he found his niche and has been working in the community college setting ever since.

 


Diane L. Kelly — Diane Kelly, P.E., is a full time instructor of mathematics at the Plant City campus. She earned her BSEE and MSEE in 1990 from the University of South Florida. After working for several years in the engineering field, in 2006 she left sales to start a career in teaching at the community college level.

Dr. Mara L. Manis — Mara Manis has been teaching biology at the Dale Mabry Campus since 1987. Her original training was as a behavioral and physiological ecologist and involved frogs and toads. I have my bachelors and masters degree in Religious Studies from USF where I focused on Religion & Medicine. Since 1999 I have been a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist. As part of being an LMT I do a variety of modalities from deep tissue to energy work. Teresa Rogal — Having taken up drawing at very early age, Terri Rogal has never ceased her love of visual thinking – always “picturing” what was on her mind, she just recently realized she is not crazy and that everyone sees in pictures too! Taking the cliché “a picture is worth a thousand words” to a different level, Terri uses what some people call doodling to teach her College Success classes, create training materials, mind maps and now making meetings more visual by her Draw the Talk method.

Dr. Diane Strauser Alvarez — Alvarez has a BA in special education and later attended New College of USF for undergraduate English. She received the MA and the Ph.D.(2005) at USF. She taught College English for 20 years and is now at HCC, SouthShore. A Master Gardener for Manatee County for several years, she wrote a monthly article, “My Wildlife Yard.” Now a Master Naturalist, she currently writes the "Outdoor Learning" column for the local Observer newspaper.

 


Linda H. Tarrago — Professor of Accounting and Business at the Dale Mabry Campus for the past 20 years. Sponsor the Business Leadership Club (formerly SIFE) and VITA trainer. Has been the site coordinator for the DM Campus-based IRS VITA Free Income Tax Return Preparation site for the past 10 years. Was honored in May by the IRS and the Hillsborough County Prosperity Campaign for dedication to the VITA program.

John Whitlock — John has been teaching at HCC Dale Mabry since 2003. He earned a BS in Zoology from USF in 1996 and a MS degree from Georgia Southern University in 1999. Prior to teaching at HCC, he worked as a microbiologist at USF. His interests include microbiology, vector-borne diseases, parasitology, molecular genetics and evolution.
