AS Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies - 64 credit hours
Prepare to work in corrections, juvenile justice, investigations, private security, homeland security and crime scene investigations. Graduates may transfer to a university to seek a bachelor’s degree. Graduates of a law enforcement academy may receive college credit hours toward this degree. A variety of tracks are available depending on your career goals.

Law Enforcement Training Academy - The Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission was established by the Florida Legislature to oversee employment and training for law enforcement and correctional officers. The mission of the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission is to ensure that the citizens of Florida are served by the most qualified, well-trained, ethical and professional officers in the nation.  Program Website

Corrections Academy - The HCC Corrections Academy prepares Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Cadets with the necessary training required to pass the Florida Department of Law Enforcement State Certification Examination.

AS Paralegal Studies/Legal Assisting  
Under the supervision of an attorney, paralegal or legal assistant responsibilities may include conducting research, preparing legal documents, analyzing information and interviewing clients.

Paralegal Studies/Legal Assisting ATC - 21 Credit Hours
If you already hold a bachelor’s or higher degree, this certificate will prepare you for work in a law office, corporation or government agency. Qualify to sit for the Certified Legal Assistant Exam sponsored by the National Association for Legal Assistants.
