The Mathematics Associate in Arts degree transfer track is a pre-major for students who wish to pursue a four-year degree at a university in mathematics or a related field. The goal of the mathematics associates degree is to enhance students’ competence in the dynamic disciplines of mathematics and statistics, and includes coursework in college algebra, trigonometry and Calculus I, II & III. Courses offered by the mathematics department promote the ability to reason quantitatively in a variety of way. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.
