ABC Apprenticeship

ABC Apprenticeship Training Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national management association for the construction industry which actively promotes the merit shop form of construction. ABC has a growing membership which presently tops 19,000 firms. As the fastest growing construction trade association in the country, ABC sponsors educational programs that keep its industry managers and apprentices well-versed in the latest construction methods and technologies.

Through a combination of classroom and on-the-job training, workers acquire new skills rapidly with the essential hands-on knowledge that lets them apply their new skills accurately and effectively. Apprenticeship Training programs are offered in the fields of HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, Sprinkler Fitter, Sheet Metal, Plumbing, and completing students are certified with a “Journeyman” employment status.

To be eligible for consideration into the ABC Apprenticeship Training program, prospective students must be employed full-time with a State of Florida licensed contractor in the trade prior to August.  Interested students can contact ABC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter at (813) 879-8064 for more information.
