 Dr. Judith Nolasco

Dean of Academic Affairs, Ybor City Campus, English Faculty

Dr. Nolasco has been at HCC since January 2000 where she began as Assistant to the Dean of AS and Technical Programs. She  held this position for four years and then became a full time faculty member in English and Education. She has also taught as an adjunct for HCC and taught dual enrollment when she was a teacher for Hillsborough County. Dr. Nolasco also worked on special assignment  with Dr. Shawn Robinson as his Academic Assistant. She coordinated and implemented several projects for him such as the Student Success Seminar Series, she wrote the bi-weekly  campus newsletter, the Ybor Spotlight, and she coordinated activities for the adjunct faculty. Along with teaching English, she currently serves as the Dean of Academic Affairs at the Ybor City Campus.

Dr. Nolasco holds an associates degree from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California, a  bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Education from the University of Tampa, and a master's degree in English from the University of South Florida. She graduated in the summer of 2013 with a Doctor of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Nolasco teaches ENC 1101, ENC 1102, Intro. to Education, Teaching Diverse Populations,  and has taught World, American, and British Literature as well as Intro. to Film and Technical Writing. She has also created both a fully online and hybrid version of ENC 1101.
