FUSE logo

FUSE is a new program between the University of South Florida and eight Florida colleges, including HCC to provide seamless pathways to get both an Associate degree and a Bachelor's degree from USF.  Students who meet the criteria of the program will be identified, co-advised and tracked as FUSE students and will be guaranteed admission to USF upon successful completion of the Associate degree.

FUSE is a limited-access program that has the following additional requirements for admission:
New students should indicate FUSE interest on their HCC application.
Enroll in an AA degree and plan to transfer to USF in one of the selected majors (see list below)
Must have the ability to complete the program within 3 years
Must have no more than 12 credits of college level coursework already completed - (Credit earned while in high school through dual enrollment or AP testing do not count in the 12 credit hour rule)
Must meet minimum test scores on a college placement test

Documents needed to review a FUSE request:

Submit SAT or ACT scores and AP scores (if earned) or visit a campus Test Center to take the PERT Placement Test.
