Hospitality Department Hosts: Sweet Memories & Favorite Places Art Exhibit & Dessert Reception
The Dale Mabry Campus Hospitality Department hosted this event, which was held on the evening of February 9, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Dale Mabry Campus Gourmet Dining Room. This unique event paired fine dessert with an art exhibition by local artist, Mr. Mac Perry (McVae). Students in the culinary/hospitality/restaurant/dietetic technician programs prepared the desserts as well as orchestrated and facilitated the evening's events. For those interested in the artist’s works http://www.mcvae.com/

The Gourmet Dining Room provides hands-on experience in a real working restaurant environment. Our students learn cooking, management, and customer service skills by preparing all meals, serving customers, and handling management duties. The students who serve our customers and the food that is being produced are part of classroom laboratories.

The dining room is located in the Humanities Building, room 118 and will be open for lunch from Noon until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The dining room will be also be open for dinner from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

As this new menu approach is quite popular, it is suggested that you make advanced reservations. Reservations are accepted by emailing Mr. Steve Gagnon at sgagnon@hccfl.edu. Also, please note that the dining room accepts cash or check for payment.
