HCC students interested in pursuing pharmacy careers gathered in the Brandon Campus student services building in January to hear from a panel of college of pharmacy students. The panel event was part of the Health Pre-Professional Organization (HPPO) College of Pharmacy Information Seminars Speaker Series.
The informative panel included many former HCC HPPO students who now attend pharmacy school at the University of South Florida or LECOM in Bradenton. Members of the panel offered an overview of their pharmacy programs, offered advice for preparation and application, and answered questions from the HCC students.
The panel emphasized to students that being a pharmacist is a clinical career that involves helping and counseling patients directly. For more information about HPPO or the path to pharmacy school, contact Professor Elizabeth McCullough at email@example.com.
