Commencement Thanks - Dr. Ken Ray, Jr.

I would like to commend Jennifer Young, Ed Olmo, all Marshals, and the numerous volunteers for a successful commencement with a record-breaking 960 graduates participating!  Special thanks to our name callers, Professor Lamison and Mr. Lamison, for the wonderful job they did calling the names of our students as they walked across the stage to meet the president and receive their honor.  More than 350 students attended the Annual President’s Commencement Breakfast.  As the numbers of students attending commencement grows we will need to plan for 1000 or more students in the future.  Again special thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers:

College Signing Day

On Tuesday, May 17,  Middleton High School hosted its inaugural Signing Day for graduating seniors.  The event was attended by parents of graduates, Middleton High School faculty, staff, Principal Kim Moore, HCC President Dr. Atwater, HCC Vice-President Dr. Ray, Director of Marketing Ashley Carl, and Dr. Jennifer Dale.  Fox news covered the event and  interviewed students and Middleton Principal Kim Moore.  More than 120 graduating seniors participated in the event.  Seniors were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement and announced where they will continue their education post-graduation, with the vast majority selecting HCC.

President Atwater addressed the students and congratulated them on their accomplishments.  He also encouraged the seniors to “Commit 2 Complete” everything they start.  Middleton was very enthusiastic about Signing Day and they plan to make it an annual event.
