English for Academic Purposes - Ybor City Campus

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program is designed to meet the needs of those individuals who desire to improve their English language skills, in order to pursue college degrees, career goals, or increase better employment opportunities.  Students attending the EAP program on the Ybor City campus come from various walks of life, and are representative of countries from around the world. There is a rich cultural and ethnic diversity among the EAP student population and its professors. This same element of diversity found on the campus, is also found in Ybor City, which is listed as one of only two National Historic Landmark Districts located in Florida.

There is much to see and do when not attending EAP classes. As a student at Ybor City Campus you can attend theatre performances free at the Visual & Performing Arts building, participate in Student Government Association sponsored events, join the International Club, or other groups with common interests, browse the campus art gallery, and access free tutoring services at the Academic Success Center in the campus library.  If you have time, you can wander around Ybor City, admire the architecture of old buildings, visit historic sites, shop, ride the street car, or enjoy culturally diverse foods in the many restaurants and eateries in Ybor City.

The Ybor City Campus is also conveniently located to downtown Tampa, providing opportunities for students to take advantage of what the area has to offer to enhance their education while attending the EAP program at the Ybor City Campus.
