The HCC Alumni Network provides quarterly opportunities for its members to network and have access to professional development workshops so they are more valuable in the workplace. 

Engagement Study Overview  

Today, employee loyalty is more vital than ever before to an organization’s success.  Gone is the era when new hires joined a company and stayed. Experts predict the current 1st year turnover rate may rise to 65%.  With recruiting costs running approximately 1.5 times annual salary, the ability to retain valuable employees has a significant impact on an organization’s bottom line. 

The challenge for management is: how to ensure that supervisors interact with associates to generate an engaged workforce. The study revealed that a “caring” manager is key in driving engagement.  That is, a manager’s ability to nurture strong relationships with employees, build strong team interaction, and lead in a “person-centered” way creates an engaging environment in which employees can perform at higher levels.  Read more.

The Hillsborough Community College Foundation invites you to sponsor HCC's 2014 All College Day.  This in-service training provides an opportunity for HCC faculty and staff to upgrade their skills and acquire new information for improving student learning outcomes.  At this annual event, employees from all campuses assemble in one place where excellence awards are presented and employees are recognized for their years of service.
