Steps to Complete:
Step 1: Create an FSA ID and submit your FAFSA using HCC’s Federal code 007870.
Step 2: Complete your FAFSA as soon as possible for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Step 3: Once we receive your FAFSA, check the status of your Financial Aid in MyHCC Self-Service.
Step 4: Once we receive your FAFSA, you may create your Mobile Financial Aid account and complete your documents electronically.
Step 5: Consult the Financial Aid Checklist to verify you have completed all the required steps.

The FUTURE Act of 2019 requires all FAFSA filers to provide consent to retrieve and disclose Federal Tax Information (FTI) from the IRS using the Direct Data Exchange (DDX) to be eligible for federal student aid.
NOTE: If you are attending HCC in the summer of 2026, you must complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA application in addition to the 2026-2027 FAFSA application.
