EXHIBITION TITLE In Case of Flood: A hurricane preparedness panel featuring Tampa Bay Times investigative reporter Justin Garcia and Dezeray Lyn of Mutual Aid Disaster Relief.
LOCATION Gallery114@HCC Ybor City Campus
EXHIBITION SCHEDULE Tuesday, August 26, 6-8 p.m.
EXHIBITION DESCRIPTION Join us HCC Art Galleries for an after-work conversation on hurricane preparedness, inspired by the exhibition In Case of Flood. Tampa Bay Times investigative reporter Justin Garcia—who covered the region’s infrastructure failures after Hurricanes Helene and Milton—will be joined by emergency relief expert Dezeray Lyn of Mutual Aid Disaster Relief. Together, they’ll explore how communities are (and aren’t) preparing for the next storm, and what individuals can do to bridge the gaps. Contributing artists from In Case of Flood will also share their perspectives. Bring your questions—this promises to be a lively discussion.
