Financial Aid Important Dates

This service is available at campus bookstores if you have money leftover (a credit balance) after tuition and fees are paid. Students enrolled in 6 or more credit hours may charge up to $650. Students enrolled in less than 6 credit hours may charge up to $325.
Due the Covid-19 virus the College has transitioned to all online courses for the summer 2020 semester. As a precaution the College is limiting access to the College campuses, and the HCC Bookstores on each campus are closed to the public. To provide course materials for students the HCC Bookstores has an e-commerce website for student’s to place orders and have their summer textbooks shipped directly to them starting on April 27. There is no charge for shipping, students will be able to use their financial aid and third party sponsored scholarships starting on May 7. Please note that UPS usually takes three or four days to deliver your order. Orders placed during the weekend will be processed on Monday morning.
PELL Census Date
May 22, 2020
Your Pell Grant eligibility will be determined by the classes which you are registered for at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on May 22, 2020, so register early. Credit hours added after the census date cannot be used to increase Pell Grant eligibility for that term. See Pell Census Date for more information.
Cost of Attendance

Financial Aid Awards will be adjusted after the 12 week drop/add period to reflect a student's actual enrollment status for each term. As a reminder, enrollment status determines financial aid eligibility. See Cost of Attendance for more information.

*These are dates that students will begin receiving their financial aid refunds if all required information was submitted by the priority deadline. Financial aid refunds occur when the amount of financial aid disbursed exceeds the amount of your tuition, fees, and books.
**Per federal regulations, first time loan borrowers cannot receive their first loan disbursements until 30 calendar days after the first day of class.
