Residents Outside of Florida and Professional Licensure (NC-SARA)
Hillsborough Community College (HCC) has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Institutions that are participants in NC-SARA are authorized to conduct certain out-of-state activities (including enrolling distance education students) in all SARA states. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
HCC offers numerous programs designed to prepare students to be eligible for professional licensure or certification in Florida. Licensure or certification in other states may vary. For more information on professional licensure in your state, please contact your program of interest to see how this will affect you. HCC has not made a determination that its curriculum meets the state educational requirements for professional licensure or certification in other states. HCC is investigating out of state licensure issues. Contact your program’s administrator for more information.
Only institutions that have been issued a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense are eligible to provide on-base classes and distance education course offerings to active and reserve military personnel, their dependents, and civilian employees located outside of the United States.
