As our community continues to recover, HCC has extended its closure through Monday, October 14. We will continue to monitor conditions and communicate a reopening date.
Many are still without power and experiencing connectivity amidst recovery efforts. Road hazards and limited gas availability throughout the region remain concerns, our top priority is the college community's safety.
While the college fared relatively well, we are addressing building damage, water intrusion, downed trees, and debris to clear. Cleanup began Friday and will continue until complete. Power issues and connectivity persist in certain locations.
Please refrain from accessing college property at this time.
If you need assistance, visit our storm information page linked below for resources and recovery efforts. The HCC Foundation has established a Disaster Relief Fund to support faculty, staff and students affected by recent storms. Donations can be made here. Faculty and staff seeking financial aid should email lweddle@hccfl.edu with a request and photos of their losses.
