The college will resume normal operations on Wednesday, October 16.
Students taking online courses who are still without power and internet access should contact their professor(s) directly. We have encouraged all faculty to work closely with students to provide the necessary time, support and flexibility to submit any outstanding assignments and complete assessments. Please note, many faculty and staff are still without power, responses may be delayed.
Students, faculty and staff who will experience transportation difficulty due to limited gas availability and/or other storm-related conditions, please contact your supervisor or professor(s).
The college is still clearing debris, please be mindful of potential obstacles. As we continue to navigate the recovery process, let’s remain patient and understanding of each other’s situations.
Remember, if you need assistance, visit our storm information page for resources and recovery efforts. The HCC Foundation has established a Disaster Relief Fund to support faculty, staff and students affected by recent storms. Donations can be made here. For students who experienced financial emergencies due to the storm, please contact a faculty counselor for consideration of the Dreamsavers Emergency Funding Assistance. Faculty and staff seeking financial aid should email lweddle@hccfl.edu with a request and photos of their losses.
