  • Advanced International Certificate of Education;

  • Credit by Examination;

  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP);

  • Military Coursework, training and experience.

The Department of Education will annually determine minimum scores, maximum credit and courses to award credit for CLEP, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Advanced International Certificate of Education and other Credit by Exams. Students with military training, experience and coursework will receive college credit as recommended by the American Council of Education (ACE) in accordance with the following:

  • Courses from military training, experience or coursework that are determined to be equivalent and fulfill a general education or other degree program requirement will have the credit applied to the student’s record.

  • Other credit will be granted to fulfill elective credit requirements as needed to complete the degree program.

  • Military credit that is evaluated and awarded by HCC and appropriate for a student’s program of study and is transferable to Florida post-secondary schools.

The President will develop and maintain a procedure on Student Acceleration Mechanisms which will meet federal and state mandates and requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
