Let's Get 2 Work: Workshop Series

Get A Great Job, Let’s Get to Work! includes a free 6-week workshop series, featuring easy-to-use in-person, virtual and mixed formats with weekly learning modules that include self-assessments, industry experts, video clips, TED Talks, and peer collaboration. 

The virtual workshops will be offered on Canvas, a web-based tool for student classes. 

There are 6 modules in the series: 

  1. Communication
  2. Critical Thinking
  3. Collaboration
  4. Professionalism
  5. Leadership
  6. Career Management

Job Opportunities

After completing the workshop series, students are offered optional opportunities for job experiences through internships, experiential learning and other employer-based activities. All participants will receive a certificate of completion and digital badges for their job portfolios.

Extra Credit

If you are currently attending HCC, numerous instructors offer extra credit toward your final grade for completing the workshop series. Remember to check with your instructors to see if you can receive extra credit for participating in this program

Program Development

The workshop series was created by Dr. Danielle J. Clark and developed in accordance with the best practices identified by the  National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Dr. Clark, is a tenure-tracked professor at HCC and holds a Doctorate in Business Administration. She has an extensive background in human resources, operational management and leadership with numerous fortune 500 companies, including serving as a Human Resources Lecturer at Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts.

This program is free to all Hillsborough Community College (HCC) students and prospective students and it is administered by the Office of Associate in Science Degree Programs located at the HCC Dale Mabry Campus
