HCC partners with Hillsborough County Public Schools, certain Private and Charter Schools and students in the Hillsborough County Home Education program to offer college courses at no cost to the student.  Please take the time to review the important information on this website and we look forward to welcoming you as an HCC Hawk!

   DE Spring Paperwork Submission Deadline: Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11:59 pm

Submit Paperwork Every Semester

Complete these steps each term, including your first term. (The Student/Parent Agreement is only required the first term)

Dates and Deadlines

Submission

  • Students must plan ahead and communicate with their school counselor at least 10 working days prior to HCC's submission deadline to obtain and complete the required paperwork.
  • Completed documents must be submitted to the DE Portal which closes at midnight on the deadline date. (No late paperwork is accepted)

Registration

  • Once approved, students may register for courses using the instructions on the approval email.
  • DE students cannot register using HawkGPS.
  • Students who fail to meet the registration deadline will not be eligible for dual enrollment courses until the next term.
  • DE students may not add a new course during the Add/Drop week.  For more details see our FAQ section below.

Please note: Students will be in a learning environment that explores a diverse and open range of ideas that requires a mature understanding of multiple perspectives. Students must be able to engage in discussion in a mature and responsible manner.

Students will be attending classes with non-high school-aged students, and many encounter students of various ages and backgrounds while on an HCC campus, including students who may hold criminal records.
