PURPOSE

This administrative procedure establishes procedural guidelines for initiating an affiliation and internship agreement between the College and a facility for academic programs.

PROCEDURE

Hillsborough Community College (HCC) may establish affiliation and internship agreements with an organization or business to provide educational experiences for students enrolled in academic programs.

  1. The Dean or Program Manager will contact the specific facility (ies) to coordinate the implementation of a program with the appropriate facility representative.
  2. The Dean/Program Manager will use HCC affiliation or internship agreements or in some cases, the organization’s version. All affiliation or internship agreements should be sent to the College Attorney’s Office who will ensure the agreement is reviewed and included on the next Board of Trustees agenda.
  3. The College Attorney will forward a copy of the proposed affiliation or internship agreement to the Risk Management Officer once approved.
  4. The President will recommend the affiliation or internship agreement to the Board of Trustees for approval.
