PURPOSE

This rule establishes College policy for providing full-time faculty and staff with retirement plan options.

RULE

All full-time and part-time faculty and staff are eligible for membership in the Florida Retirement System, with the exception of faculty adjuncts and student employees. Faculty and staff, including adjuncts, may elect to participate in a variety of other tax-deferred and tax-sheltered retirement plan options which are available to personnel at their discretion and expense.

The Board is not responsible for the performance of firms selected by personnel. Retirement planning remains the responsibility of employee’s individually.
