PURPOSE

This rule establishes policy regarding the use of volunteers at the College.

RULE

Hillsborough Community College (HCC) may utilize volunteers for one-time or occasional voluntary service and for specific voluntary activities on an on-going basis. A volunteer may be a student, alumni, retiree or other non-employee who want to volunteer their time and services to benefit the College in areas needed. There is no employment relationship between the volunteer and HCC. Volunteers perform services for HCC for their own personal benefit, while supporting the College, without promise, expectation or receipt of any compensation, employment or other benefit. Volunteers will adhere to College rules and procedures.

The President will develop an administrative procedure on use of volunteers at HCC.
