The diagnostic medical sonography AS degree prepares you to take the national registry examination to become a certified sonographer who provides imaging services under the supervision of a physician.
Sonography is a medical specialty that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the human body. Physicians analyze these images to aid in diagnosis.
Graduates of this AS degree program are granted admission into the health sciences Bachelor's degree program at the University of North Florida.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography Information Session Dates
Attendance at one of the information sessions is mandatory. Your application will not be considered complete if you have not attended an information session.
Tuesday April 13 - 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Tuesday May 11 - 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
These information sessions will be held online. Please register for the information session you would like to attend by noon on the day you select. Prior to the information session date, you will receive an email with instructions and a link to join the information session. Microsoft Teams will be the online platform used to conduct the session.
